  1. Purpose

The ESG disclosures guidance manual is to guide how listed companies in Ghana and other organisations interested in ESG reporting can collect, analyse, and publicly disclose important ESG information using an approach that meets international standards in sustainability reporting. This document can also act a guide on how to progressively integrate ESG in strategy, operations, and performance management. This document is also available as a guide to other organisations that might be interested in ESG integration and reporting. To help reduce uncertainties on which framework or standards to apply, this manual recommends the adoption of the GRI Standards as the common framework for ESG reporting by listed companies in Ghana. According to a 2020 Global Survey on Sustainability reporting conducted by KPMG, the GRI.

7. Aims of the Course

By the end of the course, you will be able to explain the concepts of the GSE ESG Disclosures Manual. To provide a “Best in Class”, best practice approach which will ensure that “Listed Companies” practical application of GSE ESG Disclosures Manual.  Listed company staff will be able to explain the relevance of each Principle to the Securities sector and the practical steps that listed comanies can take for implementation.

8. Assessment

The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. Learners will be asked 60 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. The answers are marked automatically so learners will instantly know whether they have passed. Learners can take the test two (2) times as they need to pass within the period of the purchased course at no extra charge.
